Meet Our Newest La Paz Family Member

Meet Lily SanchezWe are thrilled to announce that Lily Sanchez has accepted our invitation and will be joining the La Paz team and serving as our Business Development and Communications Coordinator.

As the Business Development and Communications Coordinator she will coordinate the organization’s communications functions and assist with the administrative duties related to revenue generation and the support of the Compañía membership-based initiative in order to advance the organization’s overall mission and standing.

Sanchez comes to La Paz Chattanooga after serving as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director at The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga. She is a 2016 alumna of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a Minor in English Writing. She currently is pursuing a graduate degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida.  While at UTC, Ms. Sanchez served as the Spanish Language Editor of The University Echo, the university's student newspaper and has contributed to Noticias Libres, the former Spanish weekly of the Chattanooga Times Free Press

"As a first generation immigrant, I have been inspired and moved by the work the La Paz staff and volunteers have done throughout the years to make Chattanooga a more inclusive city," shares Ms. Sanchez. "I am honored to serve on your team."  

Ms. Sanchez's heritage is of the Dominican Republic, where both of her parents lived until moving to the United States. 

"We are very thrilled to welcome Lily to the La Paz family and are excited for the impact she will make across our region," says Stacy Johnson, La Paz's Executive Director.

Sanchez begins her new role on Monday, December 4th, and will be introduced at La Paz's last Compañía community networking luncheon of the year at the Edney Innovation Center.
