FAMILY STABILIZATION

CHATTANOOGA'S OFFICIAL
LATINO FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

In 2013 the City of Chattanooga gave La Paz the title of Latino Family Resource Center. We take this title very seriously, acting as a guide and connector for Latinx families. Whether they're seeking help with day-to-day tasks or advice on how to navigate the heavy stuff, our Social Impact staff works tirelessly to advocate for them and empower them so they can thrive in their community.

CASE MANAGEMENT

We welcome both walk-ins and appointments! Because we are here to help families find the help they need in respectful and culturally-appropriate ways. Sometimes they just want to learn what resources are available, or need help filling out paperwork like health insurance applications, school forms, WIC, and SNAP. At other times, they are the victims of domestic abuse or a threat of homelessness. No matter what situation they are facing, we are here to help.

SOCIAL NAVIGATION

We believe that every Chattanoogan should be an informed citizen, no matter what their race or background. So we help families learn about important topics like safety and engaging others in ways that strengthen our city as a whole – through legal assistance workshops, educational outreach sessions, and an annual meeting with the Guatemalan consulate.

RESOURCE & REFERRAL

With 19 years of relationships built in the latino community, we are a trusted resource for serving immediate needs and advocating for inclusion and equity. We are also a trusted partner in the broader Chattanooga community, with a proven track record of delivering on program goals and objectives, with accountability and transparency. So we are able to make connections between those in need and those who can bring assistance.

BETTER TOGETHER

We believe every client that walks in our doors deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and that the more avenues for interconnectivity that exist in our city, the better we can be at caring for the ones who need it most.
