Position: Temporary Part Time Associate Case Manager
Reports to: Senior Case Manager
Organization Overview: La Paz Chattanooga is the leading Latino organization in southeast
Tennessee. Our team is bilingual, bicultural, and skilled at meeting the needs of and engaging
with the diverse Latino community. We are seeking an additional team member with exceptional social service skills to support our Case Managers from intake to referral and resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting in a respectful manner with individuals of diverse backgrounds and hold a commitment to the advancement of the Latino community. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Position Description & Responsibilities: The Case Management Support Assistant will
provide essential support to our Case Managers, performing a variety of tasks to ensure the
efficient operation of our services. This role requires confidentiality, empathy, and excellent
organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
ā Greet clients/visitors in a positive, helpful, and pleasant manner.
ā Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources.
ā Assist in identifying and providing direct services to clients such as general counseling,
advocacy, and information and referral to help households access and mobilize
resources to meet their needs.
ā Serve as a liaison between clients and other social services agencies in the city/state.
ā Protect client information in a safe and confidential manner using secure database tools.
ā Answer phone calls, texts, and replies to requests for information; provide information
and/or direct calls internally and take messages when needed.
ā Maintain a productive and welcoming work environment for clients/visitors and staff.
ā Help build positive relationships with team members and external partners.
ā Work with staff members and follow procedures to ensure efficiencies and maximize
success.
ā Provide administrative support to Case Managers, including scheduling appointments,
preparing documents, and maintaining case files.
ā Assist in tracking and documenting client interactions and progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
ā Bilingual in English and Spanish required, with cultural awareness and experience.
ā 1-2 years of experience in customer service, advocacy, or a social service role.
ā Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
ā Proficiency using digital tools, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
ā Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining client confidentiality.
ā Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a
diverse team, under minimal supervision.
ā Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse clientele.
Schedule and Compensation:
The Associate Case Manager will work 15 hours a week on the following days; Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Salary is
commensurate with experience. There is a possibility that this will turn into a permanent position in the future.
